Job Summary:

The Assembler combines component parts or pieces to specified set instructions (BOM) or work instructions and or other needs of the company as guided by the Supervisor or lead as the schedule demands.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verify the correct quantities of component parts and quality by checking completed items before closing the job
  • Participate in inventory activities
  • Manage parts in the work cell
  • Scrap and dispose of parts as directed by the Supervisor or Lead
  • Any task that is directed by the Supervisor
  • Follow company procedures and directives
  • PPE required in shop specified per work cell
  • Follow all company-mandated safety and environmental policies

Job Specifications:

Education required:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

 

Specific skills, knowledge and abilities required:

  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and shop orders
  • Ability to follow the BOM (bill of material)
  • Ability to organize work area and maintain good housekeeping and organization
  • Ability to use and preserve assembly equipment such as torque wrenches and assembly tools (drill, impact wrenches and manual hand tools)
  • Ability to use various company computerized systems (IFS) as specified to the position.
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Operation of Forklift and standup lift experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Active engagement throughout the entire operation.
  • Able to perform in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Standing, sitting bending, and using hand tools associated with assembly activities.
  • Able to lift 30lbs occasionally
