Job Summary:
This position will support the Business Controller and be involved with the monthly close process including balance sheet account reconciliations. This position will also be responsible for account analysis and the preparation of internal reports including KPIs. Additionally, ad hoc projects will be assigned that provide exposure to all aspects of the Finance department.
This position has a broad role that can be impacted by the person’s preferences and proven abilities. A successful candidate will be a high-energy person with a desire to learn and grow. The person must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with the organization.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- General closing responsibilities with validation of balance sheet accounts, including monthly reconciliations
- Preparation of standard reports (weekly/monthly) including forecasts and variance analysis for company packages
- Document and account for project estimates in coordination with operations
- Recording of journal entries
- Maintain fixed assets and record depreciation
- Support accounting and finance management team with ad hoc assignments
- Provide year end audit support
- Assist with inventory physical observations
- Assist with documenting and improving internal control processes
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting minimum; Master’s Degree in Accounting a plus
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industry; preferably a manufacturing environment or
- 3-5 years of Public accounting experience from large firm
- Knowledge of Accounting systems and principles
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience with an integrated ERP required
- Percentage-of-completion accounting experience preferred
- CPA is a plus
